Dr. Justin Curtin is an Integrative Medical Doctor and a registered Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery qualified in both Medicine and Dentistry from the University of Sydney.
Justin’s interest in Integrative Medicine is founded in his determination “to get to the bottom of things”.
After finishing Dentistry and being a dentist for some years, and realising the importance of patients safety and well-being, Justin’s will “to get to the bottom of things” motivated him to do Medicine.
While later working as a Surgeon,he was diagnosed with multiple prolapsed discs in his neck. The tingling fingers in both hands meant his life as a surgeon was on the line.
Justin was recommended to have neck surgery and his rational mind agreed. In his attempts to “just get better” he tried everything. Really. Then, driving home one day he saw a sign “Yoga” ~ and fifteen minutes later he was standing in the back of the class.
That was almost twenty years ago. Justin’s neck healed without surgery. The healing process this involved allowed Justin to personally experience the efficacy of different alternate healing treatments. And ~ he learned that healing follows when there is balance.
Over the recent past Justin has formalised his training in Integrative Medicine. This has included training in Advanced Nutritional Assessment, Walsh-Pfeiffer” protocols, Medicinal Cannabis and Intravenous Nutritional Therapy. Justin has passed the Primary Examination of the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
The principle that balance optimises health now permeates all his practice.
As an Integrative Medical Doctor, the foundation of Justin’s practice is based on the philosophy that our body always retains its innate tendency to restore health. When the body’s interrelated systems are brought to balance optimal health.
As a seasoned Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Curtin has extensive experience working in both Australia and Asia, providing surgical services to patients as well as medical educational mentorship to undergraduate and post-graduate medical/dental students.
